St. Georges Day

St. Georges Day was commemorated this year at Chichester Cathedral under COVID rules by Chichester Branch, on behalf of the Association and all its members.

The national anthem was played, followed by a two minute silence with a recital of the Ode to Remembrance afterwards by Dave Tilley, Branch Chairman. A bouquet of Orange Lilies was then laid at the foot of the alter in the Regimental Chapel. A quiet but dignified service attended only by Royal Sussex and The Queen’s Regimental Standard bearers, past and present Association Secretary’s Maj. Brian Hudson and Edwin Drew, and three Chichester Branch members.

When you go home, tell them of us and say, for your tomorrow we gave our today.
