Worthing Remembers The Boars Head

A service of remembrance was held on the anniversary of the Battle of the Boars Head, 30th June 2021, at the memorial within Beach House Park, Worthing. In attendance were the Royal British Legion organisers Ian and Pat Newman and the Worthing Mayor, Councillor Lionel Harmen. David Lester read ‘Wraiths of Morning’ with The Royal Sussex Regimental Association member Rodney Ulrich (Von Schmall) carrying the Bognor Regis standard, and Jonathan Purdy carrying The Queen’s Regimental Association, Horsham Branch, standard. The parade Sgt. Major was Andrew Byford from the Queen’s regimental Association. We will remember them.
