Hooded and Booted

In May of this year, after an extensive process of vendor appraisal and selection, Harry Fraser Vehicle Upholstery of Bicester was selected to re-create the soft top hood for von Arnim’s car.  With an enviable portfolio of vintage and classic vehicle upholstery projects, Harry was considered to be the best choice, providing both quality workmanship and a price that was acceptable to the Association. The car was delivered on 10 May to Harry’s workshop, which was once ‘Building 102, The Engine Test Shed’ at RAF Bicester. The old aerodrome now having become a mecca for vintage vehicle restorers and associated businesses. Delivery was taken in July in time for the car to make an appearance at Ms Joanna von Arnim’s wedding in Hampshire, but that, as they say, is another story.
