After the agreement of the Director’s, a display of artefacts from the Regimental Collection were loaned to The Rye Heritage Centre. Due to Rye being a premier Cinque Port, the items selected were from the Cinque Ports Volunteers to keep to the theme of the Centre. Over the winter the Heritage Team carried out conservation of the items and refurbishment of the display case. Our friends and colleagues from Sussex ACF helped out with transportation and the grand opening of the Centre took place on Tuesday 13th February 2024 with the Lord Lieutenant of East Sussex carrying out the formal opening ceremony. Any Members or Friends are encouraged to call in and see the display over the summer months. This is all part of the Association raising its profile across the County, hopefully this is the start of further displays.
