News from Mid-Sussex Branch

by | May 18, 2023 | News

Mid-Sussex Branch Secretary, Celia Baker, reports that on 22 April 2023 a small group from the branch had the pleasure of having a meet-and-greet at the Hurstpierpoint Co-operative store. They were very fortunate in being selected as one of the beneficiaries for donations from customers. The purchase of Co-op products or produce, as well as Fairtrade items, allowed customers to donate to the Branch as a chosen charity. Also, if customers signed up to the Co-op loyalty scheme the branch benefited as well. Celia said “It was an absolute joy to meet customers, especially young people who showed such interest in our World War II veteran, Bob Piper, and his artefacts and medals, and asked about Bob and Julian Carr’s war time memories”. A very big thank you to Sean Dunk the store manager who made us so welcome.
