With much sadness we have to report the death of Peter ‘Dicko’ Dixon at the age of 76 years. Everyone knew Peter as ‘Dicko’ and he was a real character and fun to be with. He started his service with the Royal Sussex Regiment as a Junior Bandsman at the age of 14 1/2 years but later left the band and became a Rifleman and Driver, serving in Malta,  Aden and Germany.

Peter passed away on 18 June 2022, and is survived by his wife, Jennifer and two children. His funeral will be at St Anne’s Church, Lewes at 1400 hrs on 6 July 2022. Family and close friends are invited to the cremation. A Wake will be held at The Anchor, Ringmer from 1500 hrs. Our condolences go to Peter’s family; he will be sadly missed by all of those who served with him.
